Stake pool.
A node that produces blocks on behalf of itself and its delegators.
In depth
A stake pool is run by an operator who pledges some ada and accepts delegations from other holders. Its chance of being elected to produce a block in any slot is proportional to its total stake (pledge plus delegations). Pools take a fixed cost and a margin out of the rewards before distributing the rest.
Example
You delegate 1,000 ada to a stake pool; the pool periodically produces blocks, earns rewards, and shares them with you in proportion to your stake.
